i would suggest that the dog didn't like the fake grass, but having no other alternatives lay on it, & eventually got used to it. i'm sure the dog now finds natural grass strange, and has certain mental problems / habits because of this.

i recently observed that the fake grass business is advertised on the car pulling out of the driveway, so the owners of the business must be the ones who own the house.

also, the house seems to have been sold at auction. will the new owners rip up the fake grass? we all await the answer to this question...

I remember that house. I lived across the road in the large blue building. There used to be a black dog sitting on the grass, every day. I wonder how the dog felt about the plastic grass? Considering that the dog would be around it all day every day. Being a simpler creature than I am, would he/she know it was different to normal grass & not like it? Or would it just grow accustomed, & then normal grass would feel strange. Hmmm.

Hey, I was there and I agree with you. She was fascinating in her revelations of characterisation through music, the challenge of portraying a relationship between males without the wordy dialogue and her general process of writing.
Enjoyed your comprehensive review of Tiggy's poetry too on Literary Minded. Been meaning to get my hands on that book.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoy your style.
