one of the search terms used to reach my blog. how quaint. i most certainly want to bring this person back.

So, ‘What is the poetic ecosystem like for a post-Calyx community of young Australian poets and theorists? What traditions are they in dialogue with and what media are they using (blogs, MP3s, on-line publishing etc.) to access poetry and poetics?’

it’s only a week until i have to say a little about it.

the tradition of being radically new is still one i’m pretty keen on. mp3s, blogs etc, they help me feel good in that regard. but in a sense, all of this stuff, this second-nature avant techno stuff, does enable one to be pretty in touch with tradition (the sort that stretches back through the ages). this contemporary is not so constrained by the contemporary. maybe there’s something in it. i’ve often thought it: the simple or strident tends toward bullshit; the paradoxical offers at least a bit of use. i know it’s also just semantics, but what isn’t?

i’m gonna keep blogging on this for the next few days. & why the hell would my american firefox dictionary underline ‘blogging’ as an error? there must be some truth in it, based on my previously outlined pseudo-philosophy.
